Getting to Wild Man Twin Falls is part of the adventure! The gravel road to the trailhead requires a high-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicle due to rolling gravel hills and potential seasonal water crossings. Be prepared for a bit of an off-road experience.
Trailhead Parking for Wildman Twin Falls
The first part of the trail is relatively easy, following a mostly level gravel road with only 1 minor water crossing. However, be aware that shortly after the water crossing you'll reach a side trail where the terrain changes significantly. This marks your steep descent into the canyon where the falls are located. This 0.9 mile side trail becomes much more technical, featuring roots, rocks, and a steep decline. You'll find ropes along the trail to assist with the descent, but even with this aid, it can be challenging. Prior hiking experience and a trekking pole are recommended for this section.

The Rope Section to Wildman Twin Falls
Upon reaching the end of the side trail, you'll arrive at the base of Wild Man Twin Falls. Here, you'll be immersed in a truly magical canyon. You'll need to walk in the creek bed at this point, so it's a good idea to have your preferred water shoes readily available for comfort.
Wildman Twin Falls
Your experience at the falls will vary depending on recent rainfall. Feel free to explore, take photos, or even enjoy a shallow swim. While enjoying the area, always be mindful of snakes (we encountered two in early June). This shouldn't stop you from visiting, as the location is truly special.
The Left Shute of Wildman Twin Falls
The hike back to the trailhead begins with a challenging, steep ascent through the roped section. However, once you rejoin the main trail, the rest of the return journey is swift and easy.
